I'm not sure if everyone out there is aware of this...
Every Wednesday morning at 6 am (unless there's lighting) the Gunther's open their property (at no charge) to anyone who wants to swim across Lake Minnewashta. They put out buoys and follow the group across the lake and back in their pontoon boat. The lake is 2/3 rds of a mile across. You can even take the boat across if you only want to swim one way. I've been doing it for a few weeks now and the group is getting quite large (40 to 45 people today). People come from all over. Today we even organized groups to practice drafting. Its a great time. I know its a hike for anyone who doesn't live in the west burbs but I think it's worth it. I hope to see some Donkeys there next week.
