The Tridonkey Transport trailer left for wildflower last night around 9:30.  Two long days of work by the Tridonks and the Spyeglass employees.  we completed the build after a reality show type effort of 3 days straight work.  We got the bikes, the large screen, the projecoter an the speakers mounted.....

Here is an update from the road from nate and carl,  the tridonks driving that beast from minneapolis to the race.

Nightly Report

The TriDonkey Express pulled out of dock at 9:18pm last night and started her maiden voyage to the hippy mecca of triathlon. We had an uneventful first 40 miles and stopped at the Lucky Steer on highway 19 near northfield to get all hopped up on mocha latte coffee drinks. Carl had to sample every type of coffee to see what the difference was before deciding on a half French roast and half Spiked Java. I know too much information but it will help you understand his personality during later postings.

So we cruise down the highway into IA and have no issues but soon find we are low on gas. We look for gas and it looks bleak.  One exit with gas comes up but the lights are out and they look closed. Now we are getting desperate. The next exit is Dow and the sign says they have gas, we take the exit and drive the 4 miles to Dow. We are very skeptical when we pull into town between rows of towering grain elevators. The co-op has 24 hour gas but the pumps are down. It is midnight and we are the only ones in town, we drive to the other end of town to see if there is a bar or something open to ask for directions, we figure we have maybe 10 miles before we are empty. At the far end of town we come across a small gas station, we try the pumps, closed. We sit in the parking lot wondering what to do when Carl notices the owners name on the window of the gas station. I call 411 and call Robert, the owner, and his wife answers and wakes up Robert!  He agrees to come down and fill us up. 5 minutes later he pulls up in his Camero with glass packs and pumps our gas. It comes to 50 dollars we offer him 60 he would have none of that and off we go, tridonkey express up and running. We will be stopping soon for the night. Updates to follow.

Peace out to all the Roberts in the world who still get out of bed in the middle of the night to aid two giggling Donkeys in the middle of Iowa.

Hello all from the express!  Or should I say Howdy. We are now in Colorado. Snacks consumed so far; gummy bears, potato chips mesquite flavor, chocolate M&M's, chocolate chip cookies, Milky Way bar, Naked juice fully clothed of course and water and coffee.

The word from the last transmission was "Nebraska". Picture wide large and flat, kind of like Britney Spears butt when she has a bad eating habits spell.

So if you ever run into a Senator from Colorado ask him to stop putting signs up saying damaged road and start fixing the roads.
We are in Utah making the final push to Wildflower. All the bikes are fine. Carthaniel is ready to get out of the cab. We don't know how over the road truckers do it.

Update. I have waited to post the update hoping something exciting would happen. The only thing slightly entertaining was this donkey with a ladder strapped to the back of his pickup over his cab ghetto style driving down the road. This is the conversation in our truck.
C. Look at that donkey
N. I wouldn't be riding the left side of the road if I had that ladder strapped on like that.
C. I can't believe that ladder hasn't hit something or fallen off.
N. What a freak.
Time passes maybe one minute.
N. Look out!
C. What the hell?
N. His ladder hit the center median thingy.
That's it.
